Advising Model

Whether you’re committed to the widest possible exploration or have very clear ideas about your next steps, the DavisConnects team is ready for you! Our purpose as DavisConnects advisors is to help you make choices that reflect your interests, personality, values, and priorities. Once you’ve made a decision, your goals will be our goals. You can meet with any of our advisors to explore your interests. You can also meet with an advisor who is expert in your potential field of choice. And you can meet with any combination of staff members during your time at Colby and beyond.

Appointments

Appointments are the best way to get connected to all DavisConnects has to offer. Share with an advisor your interests, skills, and short-term and long-term goals, and learn about upcoming opportunities, events, or resources to help you advance your goals.

Networking

Colby College boasts an incredible network of supportive alumni and friends. DavisConnects offers several ways to connect to this network, from large and small events to direct introductions to empowering you to perform independent outreach. There are networking opportunities for every comfort level.

Peer Advisors

DavisConnects employs many current students to serve as peer advisors. Peer advisors are trained to assist with resume and cover letter support as well as industry-specific advice. You can make an appointment with a peer advisor in Handshake or drop in between 4 p.m. and midnight in Grossman Hall.

Alumni Advising
