Education & Social Impact

Many Colby graduates come to realize the passion for making a difference through education & community engagement.

For students committed to ensuring our future leaders have equitable access to all of life’s opportunities through a quality education, Colby graduates enter the education field as teachers, administrators, counselors, and educational technology professionals.

Many future education professionals do not anticipate this pathway for themselves when they arrive at Colby. Many never select to major or minor in education. Through experiences such as Colby Cares About Kids (CCAK) or other civic engagement experiences, students come to realize the passion for making a difference through education & community engagement.

Colby graduates have gone on to teach through Teach for America, KIPP Public Schools, UPenn’s Teaching Fellowship program, and many more avenues. They work in admissions and development in higher education institutions such as Tufts University, Northeastern University, and even here at Colby College, or they work in edtech at McGraw Hill and EarlyBird Education.
