Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our EHS Team in our St. Paul office and provide consulting services for a wide range of environmental projects and industries.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Display exceptional attention to detail
- Have strong organizational skills
- Demonstrate willingness to learn new skills
- Field sampling and inspections.
- Evaluating environmental data, reviewing, and communicating environmental regulatory requirements.
- Assisting in the preparation of environmental documents, to include TRI/EPCRA reports, SPCC plans, SWPPPs, air emission reports, contingency plans, and NPDES permit required plans.
What you will bring to the Team
- B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
- 0-3 years’ experience
- Detail oriented with the ability to balance a diverse and changing workload
- Critical thinking and problem solving – ability to identify multiple solutions to a problem
- Willingness to potentially respond to call outs during non-routine working hours
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
- Positive attitude, very strong interpersonal skills
- Establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships with superiors, co-workers and clients – effective collaborators are welcome
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet project timelines
- Self-motivated and willingness to work in a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus

Benefits:
- 401K – Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following 3 months of service.
- Paid time off – Our PTO benefit is designed to provide eligible employees with a period of rest and relaxation, sick, and personal time throughout the year. PTO starts at 16 days per year and increases with years of service.
- Holiday Pay – Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employee.
- Wellness Benefit- Regular full-term employees are eligible to participate in the wellness reimbursement program. GHD will reimburse 50% of the cost of the following to maximum of $250.00 reimbursement annually for such items as: Health club membership fees, Home exercise equipment purchases, Bicycles, Race, run & marathon entrance fees, Smoking cessation programs, Weight loss programs (i.e.—Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig), Fitbits and Fitness Tracking devices
Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 based on experience and location.
